  • Project details, site locations and documents you provide when requesting a quotation or services.

  • Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and security logs.

For aerial projects, imagery and location data may contain personal information where people, vehicle registrations or other identifying details are captured. Project-specific notices or agreements may provide additional information about this processing.

We collect information directly from you, through website technology and, where necessary and lawful, from your organisation, authorised project representatives or service providers.

3. Why we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and prepare quotations.
  • Plan and deliver services, including data capture, processing, analysis and reporting.
  • Communicate about projects and provide support.
  • Manage contracts, payments and business records.
  • Operate, secure and improve our website and services.
  • Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

We rely on an appropriate lawful basis for each purpose, including your consent, steps necessary to conclude or perform a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or the protection of legitimate interests recognised under POPIA.

Providing information is generally voluntary. However, without necessary contact or project information, we may be unable to respond to your request or deliver the requested service. Where information is legally required, we will explain the requirement when collecting it.

4. Aerial imagery and client project data

We aim to limit the collection of identifiable information to what is reasonably necessary for an authorised project.

Our responsibilities depend on the engagement. Where we determine the purposes and means of processing, we act as the responsible party. Where we process personal information on a client’s instructions, we act as an operator and follow the applicable agreement and legal requirements.

Confidentiality, access, permitted use, delivery and retention of project data are addressed in the relevant project agreement. Any additional use of identifiable project data requires an appropriate lawful basis.

5. Sharing your information

We may share relevant information with authorised staff, contractors and service providers supporting hosting, communications, secure storage, project delivery, payments or professional advice.

Access is limited to what is necessary for the relevant purpose. Providers processing personal information on our behalf must be subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect lawful rights. We do not sell personal information.

6. International processing

Some service providers may store or process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we will ensure that the transfer meets POPIA’s requirements, including appropriate legal or contractual protection or another permitted basis.

7. Cookies and third-party services

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, security and, where enabled, usage measurement.

Third-party features, such as embedded maps or videos, may collect technical information when loaded. Their providers’ privacy notices explain their own processing.

You can manage cookies through your browser and any cookie controls provided on the website. Blocking essential cookies may affect website functionality. Where consent is required for optional technologies, we will request it before enabling them.

[Before publishing: confirm the actual cookies, analytics, embedded services, providers and retention periods. Add these details here or link to a cookie notice, and ensure the website’s consent controls match this wording.]

8. Direct marketing

We will send electronic direct marketing only where permitted by POPIA. You may unsubscribe using the option in the communication or contact us to stop marketing messages. This does not prevent necessary communications about an enquiry, contract or active project.

9. Security and retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure or misuse.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, contractual requirements, lawful record-keeping or other permitted purposes. We then securely delete, destroy or de-identify it, subject to applicable requirements.

If a security compromise affects your personal information, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected people as required by law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable legal requirements, you may:

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it.
  • Request correction or deletion of information that is inaccurate, outdated, excessive or unlawfully obtained.
  • Object to processing on grounds recognised by POPIA.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • Object to direct marketing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.
